Hi folks,
I'm looking for a way to quantize MIDI notes to a user defined grid based on DAW sync.
So for example, if i set it to 8th notes, it'll quantize any note i play live to the nearest next 8th note. Or if i set it to triplet quarter notes, it'll quantize to that.
I guess i'm looking either for an instrument or an effect (like Melda MCCGenerator) that can process MIDI.
I know many DAWs have this functionality as a track effect, but i specifically need to do it inside of Blue Cat's Patchwork.
So far i managed to get it working with an arpeggiator (arps often have this sort of quantized start point implemented) but an arp isn't really a good solution as it doesn't just delay the note but also does other stuff i don't want, like cut the note off very quickly, because you need to set the Arp to a pattern length of "1" to only make use of the quantizing aspect. Also most arps don't let you stop them from looping.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
